Nordicity is pleased to announce it has been commissioned by the Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF) to conduct an audience and economic impact assessment for VIFF 2014 and VIFF Industry 2014. In its 33rd year, VIFF will showcase 350 films from over 70 countries, featuring the acclaimed Canadian Images series – the largest exhibition of new Canadian cinema in the world – and the BC Spotlight Awards, ensuring the films of the province’s most promising storytellers become must-see features.
Nordicity’s research and strategic analysis will assist VIFF in better understanding its visiting and non-visiting audience experience in terms of the perception of the brand and its program offerings, as well as the correlation to tourism expenditure. The study will also identify VIFF’s economic and entertainment industry impact, prioritize key opportunities for go-to-market strategies, and effectively position the festival in the context of Canada’s wider screen-based industries.
VIFF 2014 runs from September 25th to October 10th across seven venues in Metro Vancouver.
