Economic Contribution of the UK Screen Sectors
Posted by Nordicity in London U.K. on Feb 24, 2015

Nordicity, in association with project lead Olsberg SPI, undertook a landmark study to determine the economic contribution of the UK’s screen sectors. For the first time, significantly updating previous studies on the film sector, this study has been expanded to include the UK’s high-end TV, video games and animation programming. Applying an innovative research methodology, the study presents the contribution the screen sectors make towards UK GVA, employment, the return on investment of the relevant Creative Sector Tax Reliefs and more broadly the fiscal impact in the form of taxes to the Exchequer.

The report, titled The Economic Contribution of the UK’s Film, High-end TV, Video Games and Animation Programme Sectors, was commissioned by the British Film Institute (BFI), Pinewood Group plc, the British Film Commission, UK Interactive Entertainment (Ukie) and Pact.
