UK Theatre and SOLT have launched their first-ever survey of the UK’s off-stage theatre and performing arts workforce, available here.
They want to hear from all current and former off-stage workers, as well as their employers and training providers. The results will help improve routes into and through the sector, and aid decision-making over the next ten years, including addressing anticipated skills gaps.
The report will be published in early 2017, and the findings will be used for the benefit of the workforce and employers. It will provide the evidence base to influence Government and training providers to ensure a relevant and resilient theatre and performing arts sector.
Cassie Chadderton, Head of UK Theatre & Membership Development, said “it’s essential that we plan to have the right workforce, drawn from a broad talent base, to keep theatre and the performing arts thriving into the future”.
Survey respondents will be entered into a prize draw to win one of four prizes of £50 worth of Theatre Tokens, subject to terms and conditions.
