Barbara Adagblenya

Barbara’s expertise spans international development, social policy, and strategic planning. Beyond being a skilled project manager (with PRINCE2® certification), she also excels at guiding diverse interest-holder engagement, demonstrating social impacts, and shaping actionable plans.

With a deep, lived understanding of equity, diversity, inclusion, and access, Barbara brings this experience to every project – whether working with municipalities and non-profits in Canada on strategic plans or with international development organizations on policy development and social impact assessments.

Her global perspective is rooted in both practice and study. Her career has brought her to four (!) continents – she’s lived and worked in countries including Ghana, South Korea, Switzerland, and now Canada. Never one for inconsistency, she also holds four (!) degrees: a Master of International Affairs from the Geneva Graduate Institute, an MA in Political Science from Simon Fraser University, a Master in Development Policy from the KDI School of Public Policy and Management, and a BA in Political Science with Sociology from the University of Ghana.

Barbara believes in the power of evidence-based solutions to advance equitable and sustainable development. Her philosophy is grounded in inclusive engagement, driven by a desire to ensure diverse voices are heard and reflected in the policies and strategies that shape communities – locally and globally.
