Working on projects with social purpose is what drives me. I love people, learning, and strategizing new solutions.

Adept at understanding the bigger picture while keeping an eye on all the details, Louisa is a skilled project manager and strategist.

Diplomatic and organized, Louisa convenes people across time zones, organizations, and differing viewpoints. She manages municipal cultural plans, economic development strategies, strategic and digital plans, and feasibility studies for cultural spaces. Because inclusive community engagement is vital to this work, she designs processes that reflect the diversity of communities and amplify underheard voices.

Louisa’s academic background reflects her career’s focus on community engagement, arts, culture, and the creative sectors in Canada and abroad. She holds an MA in International Studies from Simon Fraser University, where she won the Paul Tai Yip Ng Memorial Award. She also earned a BA (Hons) in History of Art with Study Abroad from the University of Bristol – spending a year at the British Institute in Italy – and holds a Diploma in Art and Design from the University of Portsmouth.
Prior to joining Nordicity, Louisa led marketing efforts for design consultancies and a VR language training company in London (UK). After moving to Vancouver in 2018, she transitioned into research, including consumer insights and supporting newcomers with Canada’s National LIP Secretariat. Since 2011, she has also volunteered with the Canadian arm of a grassroots NGO in India, raising funds for educational programs for children in rural communities.

Always learning and never bored, Louisa thrives on projects with social impact that weave together research, engagement, policy, and strategy. At Nordicity, she applies her communications and international development lens to the cultural and creative sectors – where her heart lies.
