CED and ESIO commissioned Nordicity to develop an Alberta Animation & VFX Strategy to capture the economic benefits of the industry, as well as capitalize on the existing players in the provincial ecosystem.
The purpose of this research was to determine the size and orientation of commercially
oriented augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) companies (collectively known as
extended reality companies “XR companies”) in BC, while collecting data to support DigiBC in
facilitating the ongoing growth of this sector.
The Racial Equity Media Collective (REMC) and the Inspirit Foundation engaged Nordicity to conduct a funding analysis for Black, Indigenous and People of Colour (BIPOC) creators in Canada’s film and television industry.
Entertainment Software Association of Canada (ESAC) engaged Nordicity to conduct an economic impact assessment of Canada’s video game industry.
The Canadian Independent Music Association (CIMA) commissioned Nordicity to quantify and qualify the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Canadian independent music industry, as well as the projected impact in 2021-2023.
